Rear Hatch Strut Replacement
I have looked on youtube and on here and just can't seem to get the original worn out struts off and install the new ones. No problem with the top one with the pin that comes out but the bottom one that attaches to the side won't come off. Tried a few different things but no dice. Any suggestions and especially pics of how to do it would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

The lower ball joint is threaded into place. You can put a wrench or set of large pliers on the ball and unscrew it from the car while it is still attached to the old strut.
Most replacement struts come with new mounting hardware. Tighten the new ball joint into place and pop the new strut on. If you don't have a new ball joint and have to reuse the old one, it should be easier to remove from the old strut once you remove it from the car.
