I have seen them for sale on ebay, not sure about quality. I am sure there are some threads about this in the 2nd gen specific section.

The quality and fit/finish is fine from what I have heard, but they are one of the hardest tops to put on ever in the history of automakers. RX7's, not the ebay tops in specifics. An estimate on installation at a shop is $1000 to install.

You are talking about the actual vert top right?

NO, just the cover for it. My vert top works fine. Its a leather cover that goes over the vert top

Can you direct me to some threads about this

you are looking for the convertible top boot.

the leather cover that snaps over the retracted top

luckily mine came with my car, but you are looking at a solid 150 used
ebay has a black one for 189 at the moment
way cheaper than you're going to get a shop to do.

may just wanna keep your eyes open

You could also put a want to buy out on the forums for sale section.

Yes, that and try the putting a want ad up at Craigslist...You live in a well populated area, I'm sure theres someone around there who's got one and doesn't know what it's worth.

Check with your local auto uphostery shop. They should be able to make one from scratch.
