Really dumb NOOB question about gas mileage...
Please forgive me in advance, I've been driving 4 cylinder Toyotas the last 15 years, but... is it normal for a FC to only get 250 miles range on a tank of gas? Thanks and again, I apologize...

The best EPA estimated mileage for an FC was only 17/25. You can get decent mileage, but not if you drive aggressively (which is the best method).

Thanks. I knew the RX was a guzzler being a sports car and all. But with the size of the tank, I thought that type of consumption was excessive. I rarely drive the thing faster than 70 since it needs so much work. Guess I need to work on it some more?

Try to cruise at 2000 rpm, you can shift up to maintain your speed most of the time. And on the highway staying mostly in 5th should help your fuel consumption. Aside from that, all I can say is that rotaries are more than happy to rev high, and eat gas with it. If you want to save fuel, you have to pay close attention and drive pretty careful. Shifting at 3 grand as with a piston engine car should help your fuel economy, though I'm sure you know by now, that a rotary will eat its way right up to six and still purr like a kitten.
