This is really bad!

So this car, a beautiful completely stock 93 RX7 with 51000 miles, was purchased today by me for $11,600. I inspected it, drove it and everything was fine. I brought it home with no problems or regrets. I have put about 60 miles on it so far. I took a friend for a little joy ride on some back roads, nothing to crazy and then bam! At first the engine would not rev past halfway, so I knew that something was up. I took it easy taking my buddy home and I waited there for a bit. After about a half hour I decided to go home but when I when I fired her up she was idling really low and then she died. I had to get it home so I drove about 3 minutes home but there were no issues with the engine not revving properly. Once again I waited for a while and started it up again but the same low rev and die cycle occurred. My question is, am I completely screwed or do I just have to get some possible carbon build up cleaned from the engine? I have read about apex seals going bad, and the previous owner has not had them replaced. I would appreciate any insight from any one more intelligible in this area than myself. In the meantime I am going to read into it as much as I can.

Hm, a tube going to the boost sensor near the brake booster was my problem. I don't know how I missed that. It somehow just popped off. It's all better!
