RE Amemiya Redom Type B ECU good?

I have been working on the exterior of my car for some time now. I have been gathering parts for the motor and am soon ready to start installing them. I have a ARC intercooler and Radiator, RE dolphin tail exhaust, hi flo cat, hks intakes. I bought a RE Amemiya Redom Rom type B with Boost switch. I was wondering since it is for JDM will it work on USDM cars? Would I have to use higher octane gas? Or am I better off with a Power FC? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Wow... 100 octane? Is that necessary to run with that setup? So 91 pump gas can't be used?

i was looking at one on ebay too, the fc3s amemita redom boost up ecu.

i have a 89 swapped with a 91 T2 motor and was wondering if you can use this ecu with a stock fuel delivery system and injectors and not run lean under boost .

as it is now, i have a FMIC 3 inch down pipe, full exaust, intake , bov, HKS fuel cut defencer, and a HKS non programable piggy back for the fuel system, i think its called the FMSC???

can anyone give me some pointers on this ?
or has anyone ever used one of these before?
is it re-tuneable?

I've not found much information in regards to the RE-Amemiya tuned ECU's. Obviously they're tuned to specific set-ups. (e.g. Bigger secondary injectors, open exhaust, different turbo, etc...) - There's really no telling what you have unless you're able to source the information. There has to be a diagram or brochure somewhere. It is most likely in Japanese, but that would at least be a big first step.

Fuel between the two countries are rated differently.

100 RON Octane (JP) x 0.95 = 95 AKI Octane (US)

93 or 94 octane should be fine.

well i found another ecu thats "chipped" called the Rtek7 .

the link is listed below:
http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.ph...age=2&ecu=S4T2

im not sure if it is fully programmable or not tho . picture from seller shows the computer cords (wich would only make sense if its tuneable)

idk , to be honest im no expert in engine management systems .....

I have the same ecu only for a S5 FC for my car and I've been trying to get some info on them too with little luck

One person had said they made about 319 on that ecu on an S5 motor with stock turbo , ported wastegate flange and other bolt ons on stock injectors ...
