Adjust the dashpot or just don't let off so abruptly.

finally got to work on the car. When I reinstalled the engine, I did not have any slack in the throttle cable. It was holding the throttle open a little. I induced some slackness, then reset idle speed. Now very rarely back fires. Maybe tweek the dashpot a bit now. BTW took the car on a 6 hour road trip from Hood River up Hwy 97 to Omak WA. and got 26 MPG, WOW went from 17 to 26 and the only thing I changed was install RB full system (Removed engine to repair broken exhaust stud) seems now to cruise at 3100rpm I barely touch the gas pedal!

RX7s + less restrictive exhaust = flames on demand. Learn to live with it, it is a rotary trademark
