Radiator also has a radiator cap too?
Wats up ppl. I have a 1988 rx7. A few days ago, My cars cooling temp was going up. Since my bro has a S4 too, we started to swap cooling parts (ex. radiator cap, fan clutch) to figure out what could be the issue. After reading thru the forum, I went to check the radiator ans sure enough it was the radiator that was making it hot. So i went ahead and order one and the new one has a radiator cap opening on the top. The old rad didnt have a cap but it was on the filler neck where the therm is at. Now my ????. Should my car have two rad caps? How can you bleed the system?

I have an 88 s4 n/a.. I have an auto tranny radiator( 2 pipe at the bottom for tranny fuild cooling).. That has a cap on the radiator... I think to bleed the system WHEN COLD open the cap on the rad.. And let run till warm when the thermostat opens the coolant should go down.. Keep adding coolant till.. Its comin out the top of the rad... then later when cool top off the cap on the thermostat housing.. beacause its higher than the rad cap..That should be fine
