OR racing seats for 88 vert

hello dear rotary lovers,

First of all I want to say that I am so happy to be here and being a rx7 owner. I have been dreaming of owning a rx7 for years and I hear the rotary revving in my sleep. I just bought my first rx7 a week ago!! now I have two mazda, (88 vert rx7 and 2003 mazda6s)

anyway, I am looking at Hyperform racing seats( hyperautoparts.com) it seems like their price is really low, but the seats look really good. My question is
(1) do they have good seats? is there any reasons their price seems to be lower
(2) Do all the racing seats fit in 88 rx7? What else do I need to purchase with the seats besides harnesses?
(3) what kind of tools do I need to install seats and can I do it myself or it is safer to have it done professionally?

thank you!!

Like everything else in life, you get what you pay for.
1) Good seats? Probably not the best.
2) Do they fit? Ask them. They will probably need modification which will not be possible w/o specialized tools.
Why would you need harnesses? Harnesses are for race cars. Ricers use them on the street b/c they think they are cool.
3) Should be pretty easy to install. The stock seats are held on by 4 bolts on the stock sliders.

You'd be better off finding a set of low mileage stock seats if your are shot. Cheap seats are like a cheap suit.

you would need to buy the seat Rails for those seats.... or u can remove the original Brackets and weld them on to the Hyperform Racing seat you are buying...(seen it done) but i dont recommend it... Tools... Rachet and some sockets...14mm i think..not sure...
