NC Racing beat full exhaust system question

I got a full RB exhaust for my 85 GSL-SE. I noticed that the system doesnt have a hole for the o2 sensor. Can i still use that exhaust system. If so, how can i bypass the sensor. Or what can i do to make it work? The exhaust system is the one with the two silencers.

Weld a bung into the collector merge for the O2 sensor.

your not going to want to delete that 02 if its your upstream o2. Thats a vital part of the car calculating fuel trim. Mark where you need an o2 to be, get a bung from online or check a local parts store, and just take the exhaust somewhere to a local shop and have them weld it on for a few dollars if you can't get to a welder.

Car will run fine without the O2s, but you will notice a decrease in fuel mileage.

Yes, while the car will run fine, it will not enter closed loop. This will effect mileage somewhat.

Now that I have the full exhaust system. What carburetor can I use to replace the EFI to get the max HP from stock port in my 85 GSL-SE?

I don't know much about carb setups.

I do know you can get a stand alone and tune the crud out of the EFI it to get some decent power. Especially with bolt ons.

well since ur going carb u CAN do away with the O2. and if u plan to keep using the stock pump, u'll need a pressure regulator.
