MO Racing Beat Exhaust

During the removal I noticed a sensor about midway under the car. Does this need to be reinstalled?

I'm not sure but odds are its there for a reason. Still trying to learn about my own car and this site. Hopefully a more experienced poster will chime in too. Good luck.

That would be the o2 sensor. Yes, reinstall it when you're done.

Not positive on your car, but there's likely a ground wire somewhere down-stream from the O2 sensor...usually from an exhaust flange connection to the chassis/body. You should make sure that's clean and making a good connection as well.

It has to be reinstalled or relocated... your choice really but it is mandatory

Didn't know there's a sensor on the exhaust, sure you are not talking about the downpipe?

midway down the length of the car? i'm thinking it's likely the exhaust overheat sensor ....

EDIT: hold on. i'm assuming you meant removal of the stock system. is that right?

That makes sense. It is held on by 2 bolts. I may just put it back for yucks.

I am in the process of getting rid of all of it. a note to all.........Walker doesn't make the last section of pipe that Racing Beat says to get from Mazda................good luck with that.

Header is in. You will have to cut a small section of the heat shield. I also am having a hanger issue. Plan to sort it out tomorrow.
