Race clutch vs oem?
Race clutch vs oem?
Im looking at getting a new cluth for my s4 fc, and my question is does the six and four puck style cluch disc were out faster that a full circular clutch disc? i like the idea if some increased clamp but if im going to have to replace it offten then it dosnt seem like a good idea?

Unless you are actually racing competitively, just get a stock clutch.
Honestly your car makes 146 or 160 HP. You don't need anything other then stock.
The puck style clutches chew up the flywheel far more then OEM style, and engage abruptly. If sprung, they can be daily driven with a slight bit of practice. Stay away from unsprung clutches.

Normally, yes, it does wear out faster. It also destroys your flywheel.
Street car should have a street clutch, you can get a heavy duty pressure plate if you are worried about clamping force.

not to contradict anyone on here but as far as ive learned with the cars ive worked on and built the lower you go in a 'Puck" clutch the longer it lasts for example a stage 3 is usualy good for a daily driver because it grips a little better and has te resistance some people like to feel in ther clutch but it will last some time rather than getting a stage 5 or 6 and they can last you a few races a few weeks or a few months depending on the drive but they are not even comfortable to drive with anyways usualy very very little play. i would go with a stage 2 or 3 they are comfortable give a little extra grip for daily drive and street racers but dont over do it and last alot longer.
