R1 cruise control

I'd like to add cruise control to my 93 R1, any kits out there, which is best?

Kits as in aftermarket...no. All the wiring and plugs are there, it's almost completely PnP. You just need the factory components...
*CPU, behind the driver's side kick-panel
*Actuator and cable to throttle-body
*On-Off switch that goes in the switch blank on the right side of your gauge hood.
*Control switches for the steering wheel. This is the only exception to the PnP. You have to carefully dremel out a little space in the plastic on the back of the steering wheel for the switch body. Our R models didn't have the little factory cut-out. Takes 5 minutes.

When you're able, post up a Want to Buy (WTB) ad in the parts for sale section. The components usually aren't hard to find. A guess is $100 total.

Actuator. The unused plug should just be sitting there near the firewall on the driver's (left) side. Mounting holes are there, just need 10 mm bolts which are common. Note that your actuator bracket won't be chrome like in the pic. I happened across one that had been chromed.

Steering wheel switch...

I don't have picture of the other components but you'll find the plug for the on/off switch sitting behind that switch blank on the gauge hood. The CPU is a little harder to describe, but once you get one IIRC, like the others, there's an unused plug behind the driver's side kick-panel.

One thing I forgot to mention. There was a small 'cruise' light that lit up on (IIRC) the tach gauge on those models equipped with CC from the factory. Our R models have that light covered/blanked out. I installed it about 15 years ago and it's never been an issue for me...it's easy enough to tell when it engages.

I have most of what you need if you're in the market to buy. Don't need it so I'd let it go cheap
