NC Pre 82' RX7 Clutch?

Are the clutch's from the early RX 7's the same as the ones used in the Rotary pickup's? I apololgize since this is RX 7 forums but I am looking to replace the clutch in a 1977 REPU with the 5 speed transmission and have found that the truck has the 8 7/8" disk. Everything I have found at the local auto parts stores for the 1977 Rotary truck appear to be the smaller disc clutch's with no reference to the 8 7/8". Did the early RX7's use the bigger clutch set? If anybody can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
JD

I found this,I don't know if it helps.
Maybe see if Bumpstart( the poster) has any knowledge of the Repu.
Also check the Old school and other Rotary section.

prior to 1983 ( in most markets, HB cosmo has the 225mm clutch in 1981 )
all rx's used a 215mm ( 8.5 incher ) with same 22 splines as the NA
and the friction face is stepped about 5-10 mm lower than the bolting flange face

Yes that does help some. The N/A, first one listed, sounds just like the one I have pulled from this truck. What worries me is that the bolt pattern will not be the same on the flywheel's of the RX7 and the truck. Otherwise I would just go ahead and buy the clutch kit for the RX7.
