I might be purchasing an '88 FC GTU soon and one of my major qualms with it is that the steering wheel sits a little too high for me (I'm a fairly short guy). Is it possible to do a conversion to make the steering wheel assembly move up and down? In and out is an added bonus but not necessary.

 

you can modify the colomn to go up and down. yes. get your parts from off of the same years generation mazda 626 luxury edition, will work

 

Alright thanks, I'll be sure to do that. Which column piece(s) would I need specifically so as not to purchase the whole dash if it can be avoided?

 

I don't know if you realize this,but there are some models with Tilt..They are swappable with the regular non tilt wheel column.
