CA Posi rear end...

88 SE 97,000 lowered 2 inch no other mods

So im getting highly annoyed having neg rear. I had another 7 when i was 16(bout 8yrs ago) that had a posi rear. Can i buy this posi rear end and will it work in my car?
http://santamaria.craigslist.org/pts/2251150569.html
Also what else would i need to fit this in my car? do i need the driveshaft to go with this? Is this even a good price? or should i try to haggle? Does anyone know of any other good deals maybe?

That's a turbo rear end. The pinion flange where the driveshaft mounts has a different bolt pattern than NA rear ends, which means you would need a custom driveshaft. A turbo driveshaft would bolt to the diff, but the yoke will not fit in an NA transmission. And an NA driveshaft would fit into the transmission, but not bolt to the diff.

Real posi or limited slip ??

Sorry to cut in but I am wondering are these real posi trac diffs or are they limited slip ? Just wondering because the real posi diff that we use to use was a real bitch to corner when under full or partial throttle. you could actually hear your rear tires squawk even just going around a corner slow. Don't get me wrong I am just curious .

Positraction is just what Chevy called their early limited slip differentials. Not the best reference, but here's a wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited...#Factory_names.

Thank-you for the time RotartyRocket88 I thought maybe Mazda had something a little different that locked solid.. I had a 69 GTX vert never had a bit of trouble with but it was hell to control going around corners ( curves ) with any amount of speed but I have no idea what it had for a diff , It was also quite loud
