Porting and Turbo Rebuild question

S4 Turbo

Planning on sending my short block for a rebuild but wanted to ask you guys if it would be advisable to do the following:

*history of the car*
Engine was never abused excessively so internals "should" be fine... was not burning oil than what was typical and no smokey motor. Car sat in the garage for 3 years because of a worn clutch. (basically a healthy engine)

So, I'll be sending the engine to get rebuilt (or perhaps doing it myself, which is another story) but wanted to ask if you guys thought a mild street port would be considered healthy for motor if I'll be getting the Stage 2 BNR turbo upgrade OR would keeping the ports the way they are be good enough to maintain the stock quality but not bottleneck the entire system?

If I do the rebuild myself, I don't trust myself doing a port job, so any recommended shops that you guys may have that I could send the irons to?

With just a stage 2, you will be happy with stock ports.

Performing a basic street port isn't hard though. Get a set of old irons, a porting template and practice. You'll find it is easier then you think.
