ported N/A rev out to??

Hi. I've read a few differing things about the engines n such.

I'm curious as to when the 13b is ported to a certain extent (be it streetport, bridgeport or peripheral) could/should the rev limiter be raised to a higher limit to take full advantage of the increased top end power?

The engine internals will determine whether you can safely go above redline. S5 internals are better balanced, and will be safer. Steps like hardening of the gears are also taken in high RPM builds.

If talking NA, a ported engine will breath better than stock in the top-end if the intake manifold and exhaust system allow. If talking about a turbo, the size of the turbo and the exhaust system will be determining factors.

Say you put a racing beat exhaust on stock s4 internals and a bridgeport.

How high could you take the rev limiter and keep a usable amount of power?

Well, the S4 intake manifold would prevent you from making any real power over the 7k redline anyway, so there'd be no point in potentially damaging the engine.
