Exclamation POR-15 and 1979(SA) fuel tank

Since the 1979 fuel tank has fixed main and return hoses, can I use POR-15 in the tank? My concern is sealing the fuel pickup line. Isnt there a strainer on it?

I would suggest Red Kote if you plan on using e85 or anything higher than e10 (future fuels might be).

POR-15 make a specific product / kit to coat the inside of gas tanks with. Some member here have used them with success and could provide more fist hand impressions. Others have taken their tanks to local radiator shop who provide a coating service. Posting these kinds of questions in the 1st Gen technical section instead of the new member section (here) normally provides better visibility and more replies.
