Pops but wont start

my rx7 pops inconsistently when i crank it over, but wont start,
its a 1993 rx7

the fuel system consists of...
two 255lph Walbros
leading to a fuel pressure regulator that bumps the pressure up to 120psi
that feeds 1600cc secondaries and 850 primaries.

from the ecu 12 volts are going to the fuel injectors, and im only getting 3.6 back is this right/normal?

and does anyone have a good photo of how the plug wires are routed because i took the plug wire off and went away for awhile and came back and i could not remember how they went back on, i have it set up like

front of engine <---

T1 T2
L1 L2

any help would be great, thanks

Plug wires are correct according to your "diagram".

120 PSI?..no..more like 40 is normal to the engine.
Have you checked the plughs to see if they are wet?..(with 120 psi of fuel you should be Firehosing the Fuel into the Engine!~)

welcome to the board.

you mentioned pulling the plug wires and going away for a while. reading your diagram as straight text, it's correct. that would place the front of the engine at the left margin of this page (basic driver's side view of the engine). if your "front of engine" denotation is to be taken literally, then you have them all screwy - basically having the trailing system on the front rotor (1) and the leading system on the rear (2). double-double check your wires. a deflood may also be in order before you continue as well.

also, yeah, that fuel pressure sounds crazy.

FRONT...T1 T2 REAR
.............L1 L2.......

good way to remember is T is for TOP of engine and L is for the LOWER plugs.
The #1 Rotor is always at the front of the car.

i have pulled the plugs, they were wet but not what is would expect them to be, you could see a little drop of fuel on them but they were far from soaked, i forgot to mention it is running on e85

you also didn't state what ECU you are running.
If you look at the Forum Jump Menu, you will see lots of ECU sections.
I would be opting to look through a section that pertains to your ECU and see if you can get info there.

If the plugs are wet then they didn't burn the fuel off,so the engine is flooded.

It sounds a lot like your out of time. Have you messed with the timing?

it was not running in my possession, i picked it up of craigslist as a project the car was built by a guy who builds cars for a living and is very well know in my area for doing good work, he had it running a few years back but deiced to go full racecar with it and something gave him the idea to delete anything unnecessary(wiring), and turn the harness into a bare bones harness, i received the harness cut into many chunks and i have successfully wired the harness back together, or i thought so until it came time to start it, when it just popped and did not start,

yes he did mess with the timing

i also recently just lost the tps sensor reading,

thanks for pointing me in the right direction
