plz help coolant leak from behind engine

hi new to rotarys im geting a coolant leak while the car is off from behind the engine drivers side about half way between the intercooler and the sump beside where the gearbox joins the engine.when i turn the car on it starts spraying quite quickly . any piping down there or wat else could it be

Several things in that area.

There is a heater hose at the firewall.

There is a 90 degree coolant hose under the intake manifold on the rear iron (if it's a TII) or a hose that leads to the BAC. Since you didn't mention what year the car is, I can only guess.

There are also freeze plugs on the rear iron.

ye sorry it series 4 87 i think. to acess these i will need to put it on ramps as it is too low to get under. this freeze plu hard to change fix sorry dont knoew much about them

If it's the freeze plugs, then yes, that's not easy to fix. You'll have to pull the transmission and flywheel to get to them.
