Which plugs are leading and which are trailing?

I am ready to do the compression test on my 13B but the instructions say to put my modified compression gauge in each trailing plug hole. I see the 4 plugs on the driver's side of my NA 13B. Which two are trailing, the two lower-most plugs?

Thanks

Steve

The top plugs are trailing & the bottom ones are leading. There will also be the letters 'T' and 'L' cast into the housings.

Is it correct that I use the trailing plug holes for the compression testing? I have a gauge with a removable schrader valve that I will take out so I can check the individual rotor pulses

Thanks

Most guides say to use the trailing holes, but I've done both and had the same results.

Ya trailing top... leading bottom.. I have NGK wires trailing is blue and leading is black.. That might help a little bit.. Also I have NGK plugs and there is blue rings around the trailing plugs and there is nothing around the leading plug

To provide overkill to this thread.

The simple way to remember is.

(T) - Trailing Top
(L) - Leading Lower
