Pinion seal

I didnt know where to post this, plus I thought I could get the quickests results here, I put a non turbo lsd for a second gen in my car sunday and noticed it was leaking pretty bad out of the front of the diff. where the drive shaft bolts to the pinion flange. My question is after I take the old seal out and pit the new one in what is the torque specs on the big nut in the middle of the flange?

You could probably get a quicker answer by downloading the Factory Service Manual from the stickies.

I think when you torque that nut down your sappost to torque it down untile it puts the proper amount of preload on the pinion bearing.

You need to refer to the FSM. There are specific procedures for setting up the pinion preload.
