PFC, PAC, A/C, why do these letters haunt me!?
I wasn't sure whether to post this in in the PowerFC section or here, but I thought the problem might not just be the PFC. Alright, here goes...
I just installed my PowerFC with the Base Mod Map. After finishing the idle learning process, everything ran fine (finally had perfect boost pattern!) but while not under load, the idle sometimes hunts. I adjusted the TB adjust screw, but nothing seemed to change it. So I checked the Sensor/SW screen, and sure enough, whenever the computer was hunting for idle, either the PAC (Port Air Charge) or A/C light would be flicking on and off. Even when the A/C is full blast, the light (and therefore the computer) keeps switching off and on.
I have the airpump disconnected, and I tried switching off the 02 sensor feedback, but that didn't help either. I'm not sure why either of those switches would be doing this seemingly randomly.
I have a 93' RX7 with intake, DP, HF Cat, and Catback. I know that a lot of people's A/Cs don't work after installing the PFC, but I never figured out if this is the problem they are referring to. I searched for PAC and Port Air Charge but none of the past threads have helped me. Even the one from Dale Clark about the 02 sensor.
Maybe a bad solenoid/switch/wire? Maybe I need to keep trying the idle adjust screw some more? Anyone have these issues or know how they might be related?
Thanks guys.
