Question OMP sticking

1985 SE 143,000 I had the engine out. this morning I got everything back in and hooked up, all was going well. OMP rod had sagged in the lever of the OMP. took some messing with to get it to slide up to where I could attach it to the TB. Now when I twist the throttle shaft the OMP rod is not binding but, just the OMP lever does not want to raise. If I help the lever (push, pull, lift) it will raise, but not smoothly. The car has not been started for last six weeks. Would priming the oil system help?

Had some time after work to look at the car again. It seems the round piece on the end of the OMP lever, that the rod slides through doesn't turn/move well. loose and dry, is binding. going to try smearing some grease on it for a short term fix.

Some of that spray on white lithium grease in the can with the straw attachment from Wal Mart might be the best thing so you can really get it down in there where the little cylinder turns on the lever. Or WD-40. Anything that's propelled so that it will get into the joint might help.

It worked, sprayed some grease in there. Now I'm driving!
