Ok, gotta a question about the electrical system in my 87 NA

alright , I just had my after market radio stolen out of this car, now my dad said when he installed it 3 years ago everything went right in but, now that im looking at it..... that can't be true. Well we get a factory harness from clutchfield to connect ti and .... nothign matches. this is a problem. so since nothing is matching correctly im going to have to manually wire everything.

I have accounted for every wire but one white with brown striping. i have not found anythgin to tell me what this wire does? can anyone help?

See the 2nd gen FAQ. You will find links to the FSM which contains wiring diagrams. Also, I think there is a FAQ entry that deals specifically with stereo wiring.

There are also wiring diagrams in the back of the Haynes manual.

Well heres what i ended up having to do.

My aftermarket was pulling to much power so the standard (blue/red) power in the harness was not providing enough ( due to corrosion time etc) it wasn't dead as the original cassette was powered fine with it.

so i just asid frak it ran a wire form the bat added a fuse to guard agaisnt oversurging and ran it through my dash.

Also note that for some reason my 1987 rx7 actually had a 1988 wiring setup ( assuming it was built close to the end of the 1987 model run so they flipped the wiring).

But heres the problem with doing what i did, your internal wire circuit is no longer complete without that power wire( track it and do a loop back into itself or ground it) otherwise all internal lights won't work.
