oil problem -expert opinion neded.

Hi all.

I might run through a problem I am having with an rx7-s4, 13bridgeport highflow garret.

last week blew no smoke what so ever. I noticed the OMP was leaking and the turbo drain.
so I replaced the braided hose connection in between the two turbo drain outlets, removed it from the car, correct hose, right size o.d.
also I removed the omp and replaced the actuator shaft seal, it is a snug fit but the lever returns to the rest via the spring mechanism. all the other seals were okay, so I gave a light wipe of permatex grey on the area around the seal to ensure a good seal.

the lever it self will only go on one way, however the tag which lines up against the slot in the front housing has two ways it can go, does this matter?

so the problem I have now, is that approx one minute after running it starts smoking very very badly, you can't see the car!!! it's definitely oil burning. it smokes at idle, progressively getting worse, then clears when you take it for a light throttle drive and has nothing under deaccelation, but is back even worse at idle.

I have taken off the omp and checked the lines and they are clear enough no massive oil flows at idle. the lever rests home no sticking.
I have retaken off the oil drain fo rthe turbo and it looks free flowing.

I am stumped, the next step for me is probably taking off the turbo and having a look at it?
any ideas guys, I'm sure its a simple fix and it pains me not being able to drive the bastard!!!

thanks

feno

I might mention I have also changed the oil filter ryco 79a and the oil, HPR30. the level states it is 3/4 in the correct filing zone. about 4.5 litres went in.

I found it out, changing the viscosity and having no restrictor on the feed line blew out the rear seal on the exhaust housing (plus a bit of end play in the shaft)
