Oil level question

Finishing my build and figuring out a few things starting the engine for first couple of times. I have an issue where after I shut down the engine oil comes out of the dipstick. I have just been testing and only gotten the engine running for 30 seconds or so at a time. I didn't have an actual dipstick to stop the oil, it's coming out under zero pressure. I think it's because I have long oil lines and a large oil filter that sits relatively high and when the engine turns off it's just filling the pan. So I wanted to know if that sounds plausible or not.

Hoping to be brapping by the weekend.

Is your oil system factory or do you have some sort of remote filter? How is it plumbed?

I have a dipstick, I just happened to be getting the engine running and did not put the dipstick in.

The oil system is all aftermarket, it is actually a swap into an RX8. I think it's just the filter and some of the lines emptying back into the pan since they are long and bit higher than what would be ideal.

So far I have only ran the engine for a few minutes 3-4 times, so working out some issues.

I have a build thread in rx8 club. Titled '13bt swap' It's not too detailed though I'm not a big picture taker
