Oil cooler FB

Anyone know what metal the oil coolers are made of on the1982 RX7 . I'm looking yo have one repaired but it can not be done if it is aluminum.

it's aluminum and yes it can be welded by someone that has experience welding aluminum. unless it's has a split in the threaded piece where the lines connect, then i doubt that can be fixed.

Thats exactly what happend to mine i removed the bottom plug an tightned it to much. I took it to fabricating shop but they were gonna charge more than i found one on ebay for.
