WA Odometer Reading in 1980 Rx-7

Hey everybody,
I am about to purchase a 1980 Rx-7 that is pretty clean, motors good, trannys good, everything works. The thing is that it has 93,000 miles on it and it is 30 years old. Does anybody find that odd, like it could be rolled back, or is that o.k.?

I got kinda of suspicous when driving my moms 2003 pontiact grand am thats in really good condition, and noticing that it had 97,000 miles on it. 4,000 more miles, in only 7 years. Please let me know what you think.

Has the car sat for an extended period? A lot of the time theses cars were bought as a secondary car so were not used for daily driving. Youll find a lot of old sports cars that have less miles than a much newer car.

Thanks for the response, Yea, the guy whos selling it said the previous owner had it sitting around for a long time (I don't know if it was in a garage, but there is no apparent rust anywhere.) The guy whos selling it only had it for a month, because he fixed it up, and is selling it for a profit, thats why I'm kinda skeptical, plus the carpet is worn through to the metal, cuz there was no floor mats, which shows excessive wear, but little mileage. I will definently inspect the car more, any extra tips I should know about?

That's enough mileage to wear through the carpet w/o floor mats.
