Odd Wheel Fitment Problem / Subframe Questions
Hey All,
I got new wheels for my car, and the rear dimensions are 18x8.75 with an offset of +20. I put them on and at first it seemed like they fit great. While I was admiring the new look, I noticed something weird: The left rear wheel sits inside the wheel well more than the right rear does. The right rear "Pokes" to the point of rubbing slightly if I hit a large bump. The left does not. Its almost like my rear subframe is shifted 1/2" to the right. I had the alignment checked and it is fine, and the car drives straight. Today I swapped the left wheel to the right side, and it made no difference. I got underneath it today and looked at the subframe, and I couldn't tell if it was adjustable or "Floating" like on a corvette. (I'm not very well versed / experienced with subframe mechanics). I added a picture to try and help illustrate my problem.
Thanks!
