Now what?
Own a 1984 with a 12a engine. California model. Recently replaced stock exhaust with two inch pipe and a turbo on the end. Was told it would increase mileage and horsepower. Cut the Catalyst Thermo Sensor wires and stripped and twisted together. Just pulled the air tube from the converter to the air pump off. The car ran fine for four days but now has developed a problem when you stand on it. Seems to run good thru first and second gear but when you go into third, above fifty MPH, it hits a wall like it has a rev-limiter and doesn't want to tach up any more than four grand or so. Back off and seems to run fair at lower RPMs. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix the problem???? Besides put the stock exhaust back on.
