Noob FC question
So I have a wrecked TII sitting in my backyard. I was thinking of buying a GXL and swapping over the all the suspension stuff. Basically i want the bigger brakes, 5 lug and modified rearend out of the TII and into the GXL that has a straight frame. I am assuming its no problem, but if it is, or there is anything else I should think about please tell me!
thanks
thanks

You will do Ok with the whole back end.
The front 4 piston calipers.Yep..ok too.You need vented rotors not the solid discs though.
You can also use the Shocks and springs if you want but they are not really necessary to swap.
The thing that you may get snagged up on is that the DIFF and Trans need to MATE and that means If you put a TII rear end in and have a N/A trans in there you will need a conversion shaft.(flanges are different)
If you put the TII Trans in,then you have to change the Flywheel, clutch, starter and Clutch slave also. Then you can use the TII driveshaft and hook the whole she-bang up as a TII driveline from the N/A engine back.

Unless a previous owner changed the brakes and hubs, the GXL and TII both have 5-lug hubs with the same size brakes. Most of the other suspension and drivetrain components of the TII are stronger than those of the GXL, but if you plan on driving the GXL with a mostly-stock NA engine then I think you would be better off sticking with the lighter GXL components. If you plan on using a 200+ hp engine in the GXL, then you would be better off swapping the entire TII drivetrain and suspension components as a complete set. If you do this, rather than unbolting each individual component, just unbolt the rear subframes and swap them as a unit.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it was a GXL but maybe it wasn't because it definitely has 4 lug. Also the old TII was a V8 swap. Which is also going into the new RX-7 so I already have the mountings and driveshaft to connect the Th350 to the TII diff. Also before it was wrecked the car was putting out around 350 HP so Its going to need the better parts.
