Non sequencial question
First of all this is a great site with tons of info.
I have a 92jdm rx7 and looking to make some mods.
I have been reading a bout non sequencial setup but want a bit more info. I understand some of the good things a bout this change like it being a simpler design. Removing some of the parts that can cause reliability issues. I also understand that you will have slightly more turbo lag.
My question is more around seat of the pants feel. I know this is hard to describe and every one might judge it differently but please give me your impressions on the two.
Examples might be......lots of lag, slightly more power, lots of power, would you do the same mod again? If not what would you change?

Down very low (2500rpm or so) the sequential is already going so it gives you more power. Between 3500-4500 nonsequential will have more power. Above 4500rpm nonsequential is doing the same exact thing as sequential and performs identically.
If the only thing you do to the car is convert to nonsequential, it will feel pretty laggy. But if you also make some mods to improve flow (intercooler, exhaust, intake, port/weld the doors of the turbo manifolds) you can keep the lag down to a very reasonable minimum.
