The easiest thing to do would be to replace the engine with a known good engine.

However while you are doing that, figure out the cause of the original failure. Overboost with not enough fuel? Hack job modifications?

You can certainly tear down the engine but if it was blown up due to lack of fuel, then figure you'll have a bad rotor and bad housing.

what have you decided to do with your car? i would not tear the motor out until you do a proper compression test. what other symptoms do you have that would make you think the motor has no compression? have you ever got the motor to run? my motor had a blown rear rotor but i could still start it, but it idled super bad and was shaking ridiculously...

You can't put the car in gear? What does that have to do with the motor being blown? Sounds like transmission...plus blowing out the turbo wouldn't make anything happen within the motor except make it run more rich, which in this case would be a GOOD thing. Somebody please verify this info that I am spiting out here haha since I'm new to these cars as well but have dealt with other turbo cars and don't see the problem with anything you said.

Obviously don't take someone else's word who sold you the car, to be honest many people will lie to you so you don't think something is a big problem that way you will buy it. Take it to a shop or have a trusted mechanic come check it out to verify what the problems are. Aaron Cake and redrhd are right, check it out step-by-step to make sure you don't replace something that doesn't need replacing, make sure to locate all the problems your mechanic can by doing some simple tests and making sure everything is in good, working order.
