NC No crank but some electronics seem to be working

Background, 88 RX7 99% stock 148xxx miles on it, car has been sitting since 08, ran when parked I bought it in April.

I borrowed a battery from a friend and tested it at 13.8 volts, put it in the FC turned the key to on but didnt start it, exterior lights work, interior do not, radio does not work(dont really care about that) sunroof works... generally everything works but interior lights and radio. Crank it to start with clutch all the way down and out of gear and nothing. the lights went off while I had it on start but that is it. I havent had time to jump the starter to the battery(although I do have some extra 0 gauge lying around) but I was wondering if there is anything I should check if that doesnt work. I have checked all fuses(both boxes under the hood, and the kick panel) and they all seem good.

You should not be trying to start a car that has sat for 3 years without first preparing it to be started.

That said, pull the starter and test it on the bench.

Things to check would be a loose main fuse, poor battery connectors, poor battery condition. Try getting a jump see if that starts it up.

I know Joe, I dont think he remembers me but I have been to his workshop/house before. He is magical, he could probably talk around the car and it would run... lol
