no alarm lights/ fuel issues

no alarm lights/ fuel issues
87 n/a bought 3 weeks ago. battery and 80A fuse changed.
The only alarm light i am getting is Washer fluid alarm....no others, including door, brake and hatch open. Clock resets...this is in a no start mode.
also, fuel pump is not priming. does anyone have a link on how to prime the system before i just junk it for another one? want to see if the old pump will at least whine when key is in on.
gas tank is drained...fuel sock and filter on order. what else should i do to prep a fuel system for start after a 4+ year sit?

The fuel pump does not prime. It only operates while the engine is running or being cranked.
The lights could simply be that the idiot light cluster needs to be resoldered. It is a common failure.
