NV Nikki Model Years?

When I purchased my Gen 1 Competition RX7 I was given a box with (3) Nikki carbs. Is there a way to identify which year Gen 1 it was originally on? Or does it make a difference? I'd really like to find a Sterling Nikki but not having much luck. As a result I'd like to run the best suited carb for road racing. Thanks in advance!

You might try taking some photos and seeing if Sterling will ID them for you. You can find his email address, or just do it through his forum at www.sterlingmetalworks.com

Otherwise, post the photos in the 1st Gen tech section and the guys will tell you what you've got.

Good luck.

i honestly don't think there were any significant differences (performance-wise) between the Nikkis on the Rx-7s. that said, since you have 3 spares, maybe you could designate one for experimentation on the track so you could play around with jetting and such.
