Newbie gauge Q

I hooked up a water temp gauge but lost the sensor
Can I just put any sensor
also the one it had came with had a long wire and all I can find is just the probe by itself
Any help would be great Thanks

Yeah any sensor will do grant it fits where the old sensor was that you hooked up.

You'll have to just rewire it if it doesn't come with a wire.

No, any sensor will not work. A gauge is calibrated for a very specific resistance range, so whatever sensor you use MUST be exactly like the original.

^ He is right. To get the best possible accuracy you should use the sensor the gauge came with.

if the gauge u have has a probe, u wont need a sensor.
