Newbie 85 GSL-SE Question:
I have had her for a while and recently it sounds like something is buzzing and she doesn't want to rev past 5K. I am thinking that it is the fuel pump as it is acting like it is starving for fuel. I went to Napa today and ordered fuel pump and fuel filter. Does anyone have any feedback on dealing with the high pressure/what I need to do to get this done? How about something as simple as location of the fuel pump? I haven't had it up on jack stands before.....?????
Thanks for the help!!

You can download a copy of the FSM from the 1st gen FAQ.
The fuel pump is located on the drivers side, under the storage bin/rear seat area.
The buzzing could very well be the pump and filter clogged with rust/crud.
Nothing really to worry about with the high pressure fuel lines. Just use the appropriate hose and proper fuel injection clamps. 50 PSI isn't that much pressure anyway...Talk to a hydraulic person. To him/her, "high" pressure is 5000+ PSI.
