newb motor swap or replacement ?'s

Hey everyone! i have a completely newb question for you guys if you dont mind helping me out.

Ive done some research and i think i want to get an FD with an LSx motor in it... now im not sure if i want to do this myself of if i just want to get one with an LSx already installed.

So, i have a question, if i were to say purchase an FD w/orig rotor motor and it were to blow, or after say 60-80k miles id have to replace it, how much would it be for the motor to be replaced?

And as far as swapping it to the LSx, say LS1 with T56 tranny, using hinson parts should end up costing.... 5000 motor, 2500 tranny(guess), and then oh i dunno 10grand for brackets CPU, etc, and miscellaneous crap. so probably about 17000 dollars-ish? would that sound right?

also, there is a car for sale here that i am REALLY interested in, it uses an LS1 with the granny bracket setup.... is there anything that i should be aware of?

thanks everyone! much appreciated!

im new here too, so take this for what its worth, but heres what I think. I dont really know what a new or good used fd 13b goes for, but I do know a thing or 2 about engine swaps. I would almost be willing to guarantee that putting an original fd motor back into the car would be the cheaper way to go. swaps are expensive. id probably say you numbers for a swap are probally pretty close, id say if you dont absolutely have to do it yourself you could get a car that was already done and it would be a much cheaper way to go. I think you can get ls1 fds for around 20-25k.
