New to the RX-7, looking to purchase, please help.

Hey, i recently sold my 2002 Audi TT and 2004 Porsche Boxster. i am looking into getting a Rx-7 FD but know little about asian cars..
1) out of the FD's what are the basic/Stock engines they came with?
2) i really love the Rota Grids and Volk TE37s, what is the most agressive fitment/size i can run?
3) someone contacted me selling their 1993 rx-7 R2, what exactly is different on the R2 model?

-Thank you so much, sorry for being new ha

You see those stickies up there at the top of the newbie forums?
One of them is the 3rd gen FAQ thread. This one:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/

Start by reading that thread. Your questions regarding the models, engines, buyer's guides and such are all there for you to read.

The FD is not your average asian car. It's not even your average sports car or your average Mazda car. Take some time to study it and decide if it's peculiar nature is appropriate for your driving needs, budget, and goals.
