so some info on my engine, the shop said the water seals in the rotor housing were melted. getting a used one from them for 200 =]

What do you want to know? What are we suppose to tell you?

You overheated. You have a coolant seal failure. Your engine needs to be disassembled and the coolant seals replaced. Usually that means other things get replaced at the same time out of practicality.

well i followed a lot of your advice on here

my engine will be rebuilt by this month hopefully

i bought check valves from dale clark

i bought a hose techniques kit

i got my injectors from RC cleaned

the shop is getting a new pilot bearing

ill buy a new throw out bearing

im not sure what to do about the FPD, or OMP

coolant hoses will be replaced with silicone

plugs and wires are all new


havent researched how to modify my harness yet to get rid of AWS and emissions and double throttle, still unsure one what i should and shouldnt take off

i want the car to be as reliable as possible, on stock twins

Without going back through this whole thread to see for myself...you'll need a standalone to remove emissions. You can also do it using a crap load of resistors to avoid CHECK ENGINE lights, but I don't recommend it.
I also don't recommend silicone versions of the turbo coolant lines. Those are pre-bent and cheap. AFAIK, no one makes them pre-bent in silicone and you don't want them to kink. Otherwise for radiator hoses silicone is OK, just expensive.

If you have a specific question it's better to ask then to just bump and hope blindly.

Re-reading my last post I'm not sure it was very clear...just in case I was misunderstood...
Personallyt I recommend the OEM turbo coolant lines. The OEM ones are pre-bent and won't kink. They tend to swell with age and heat over a period of a few years but they can be changed without too much trouble with the engine in the car.
AFAIK no one makes them pre-bent in silicone and I'd be concerned about kinking.

sorry this is random
but i cant find this anywhere

my 93 fd efini's Temp gauge will slowly rise 7/8th of the way up to hot, as i watch it, then it will suddenly drop to half way.

when i first noticed this i headed home, it seemed maybe rougher but i could been TRIPPIN

Anyway, is this normal?

in addition

i just checked the cap on the upper rad hose and the cap by in the intercooler, and both where empty

the over flow reservoir is all the way up to F

but there is a tiny gash in the rubber on the 9.0 cap on the rad cap by the intercooler

ON Overheating

My FC doing same. Bought a Coolant funnel with cap adaptors. Filled rad and funnel, left car running, for an hour. It bled all the air out. Added RP purple ice, and no problems since.
