Question New Owner Questions

Hey There all!

I too am new to the RX-7 thing, and have learned quite a bit, but I was searching my engine compartment today(87 na), and found what looks like a dashpot(adjustable screw labeled L<>R) between the pass side strut tower, and the airbox. It appears to be driving something vacuum actuated, as the wires coming out go into an electrical something that also has a vac. line. Any ideas? I just read my glove box manual begining to end, and nothing, but I forgot my sevice manual at the shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The pot is the idle mixture adjustment. Don't touch it.

The sensor with the vacuum line is the boost sensor.

Moved post to its own thread.

Download copies of the training manual and FSM, and read up . You'll have a much easier time working on the car if you do. This is a helpful page with downloads for each, and it has some info on some of the main systems: http://mazdarx7.iougs.com/.
