I joined the forum back in 1986 or 1987, but have not logged on for a couple years and could not find my password. So- I re-registered. I have owned a 1986, 1987, 1990 and 1993 RX-7. Still have the 1993 and it is high modified. I need to find a mechanic near Manassa, VA to work on the car. Peter Farrel used to be in Manassas, but he moved. I have a no-start problem and can not trouble shoot the Apexi aftermarket computer. No regular mechanics will be any help. Does anyone know of a RX-7 specialist in the northern Virginia area?

rxtasy3- Thanks. I put a note to the admins. Not sure if they will help or let me use my new username. I'd actually like to see some of my old posts.

I'm at the end of the month and Verizon cut back on my upload speed. It took forever to upload this one photo. I pay about $200 per month for one phone and one broadband card for my desktop. You would think I would get a break from these guys.

Decided to keep. There are not many 3rd gen cars left that are in good condition. Plus, I have modified the engine and suspension to the point the car is a street legal race car. Now, if I can just figure out why the no-start problem cropped up, I'll be back in business.

Well, I found the instruction manual for the Apexi aftermarket computer, so I can check out the spark, boost and fuel maps. Oh wait......it's printed in Japanese.

ogmikeG- I got a link that took me to a Japanese-English translation. Not really good grammar in the translation, but it helps. I thought my no-start problem was the cold start flooding issue all of these rotaries have with the engine computer. I parked the car to spend time on it later, but I think the fuel pump may have died, since when I took the spark plugs out to dry them off they were not dripping with gas like when I tackled this problem last time.. Bad ethanol gas surely would contribute to a failed fuel pump in a 28 year old car.

I finally spent some time checking the problem and the fuel pump is bad. Because of the rats nest of wires and tubing I think I would like to let someone else get their hands dirty. The two RX-7 specialists have moved out of the Manassas VA area. Anyone know of someone reliable?. A google search just brings up all of the Mazda dealers.
