i just found that my muffler is a bit rusted out so i need to buy a new one ..... (i can't repair it either) .....

are there any good low cost mufflers out there for my 1985 gs ??

There are many options. Mazdatrix has several mufflers for the car in a range of prices. Your local exhaust shop can probably order a "white box" replacement. Or you can get any standard performance muffler and install it with a little welding.
