new member exhaust question
i have always thought dual exhaust always has a cool look to it but you never see it on the rx-7s, and i have looked everywhere and only the FC's have a dual exhaust choice. will dual exhaust not work with the rx-7 or just no one has really tried it yet?
any info would be helpful, if it isnt possible i'll just go with a dual tip system

All FC's had a Y-pipe to dual mufflers from the factory.
You can get a true dual system for the FC from racing beat.
You can always have a custom shop make you a dual exhaust, but you will have to cut your bumper to make it work. Plus the exhaust probably wont last very long due to the heat.

going off your screen name, avatar and question, i'll assume you have a Gen III (FD). am i correct?
if so, then no, the Rx-7 did not have dual exhaust. i can't speak for the post-'96 models since we never got them here, but i'm fairly sure that they didn't either. also, there's really no point to it other than personal aesthetics.

yeah i have a gen 3 rx-7, and i know the exhaust wont do anything but provide visual appearance, i was just wondering if anyone had tried to do something like this before or if someone had tried and was unsuccessful
If you are only after the appearance of dual exhaust a you can run a Camaro type setup with one muffler sideways and dual tips. True duals on an FD has been done but I can't tell you anything specific.
