The owner who i had baught it off of did not do any of these mods, he had owned it for 3 years. The owner before him had done most of the work at a pretty well known rotary shop.

My question now is, since i picked up this FD iv been having some issues with idle. it sits around 1700 RPM and doesnt go down. Could this be because of a vacuum leak? I took it in to the shop today and the mechanic told me it MIGhT be because the seller turned up the idle to hide the irratic idle of a blown engine seal or low compression.. however the car seems to run fine in my opinion...
Also it tends to backfire quite a bit during low RPMs while in 3rd gear. the ATF ratio shows 14:7.. but after driving it, hits around 17: - 18: .. Could this mean it is running too rich or lean? Should i be worried about detonation?

I do have a apexi commander in the car aswell.. Im crossing my fingers that it isnt a blown engine or low compression im still waiting to hear back from the mechanic.

Could you guys possibily help shed some light?

Thanks in advance

found out it was really low on compression.. 70 and 28.. and 90 .. ugh
what happens if i keep drivin it on low compression? should i drive it till it drops before the rebuild?

I'm not understanding your numbers, but regardless, you won't harm anything by running the engine with low compression. I think the biggest issue will be hard starting after the car is at operating temp. The plugs may foul.
