Might want to start by reading the 2nd Gen FAQ link stickied at the top of this forum to get some ideas. Read the Buyer's Guide link in there.

first off how much u getting it for? as with any car that's been sitting for 6 yrs, u'll need to drain and replace the gas in the tank, provided it hasn't already started rusting yet. flush out the fuel lines and have the injectors cleaned. flush out and replace the brake fluid. be prepared to replace the brake master and wheel cylinders sometime soon if not now due to moisture that may be in the fluid that's started eating away(pitting) inside the cylinders. u can pull the boots back on the wheel cyl to see if they've already been leaking. all this will also be true with the clutch system. ur looking at a lot of money just to get it running and drivable again. not to mention other issues that will be found once it can be driven. even if ur getting this really cheap, u have to factor in the cost of what it's going to take to get it road worthy again for something that been sitting as long as it has to determine whether it's worth buying, and the headaches that will go along with it.

The headaches are the fun part though.

You will be much happier waiting for a better condition car. Starting with an unknown condition platform is pretty frustrating.
