new exhaust LOUD!

NJ new exhaust LOUD!

so i just installed pace setter headers with an ebay exhaust(i know but im kinda poor right now) the car sounds like a motorcycle and is really loud i have no cats on the thing and the metal tube that goes into the second cat is just kinda hangin around ight now i think that conriutes to noise making. any ideas on ho to make it quiter to keep my nieghbors from killing me???

Add presilencer(s), an extra muffler or a cat. The split air pipe doesn't make noise. Air just comes out of it. You can disconnect it at the back of the LIM.

yea i was thinkin of throwin my second cat up there see how it sounds, would a presilencer be quieter than a cat? i just dont wanna sacrifice power too much but it sounds like a harley at the moment!

so i installed a cat now im running pacesetter headers to a stock cat and then ebay single exhaust. it doesnt sound bad from the tail end but right at the headers it sounds really loud. anyone ever try that header wrap ****? i dont understand my the headers seam to make noise and the muffler doest

header wrap is not a sound deadner...it insulates heat. the muffler muffles noise, possible you have an exhaust leak at headers (?)

thats what it sounds like there brand new and i just made sure the nuts that bolt it to the block are tight. its ****** wierd man

i just read the gasket that comes with the pacesetter are something u shouldnt use lol. maybe ill replace that in the next few days and see what it sounds like then....

Yea definitely sounds like an exhaust leak right at the headers to block, get one from Mazdatrix or Racing Beat (gasket) and it wont leak, maybe add some high temp non hardening sealant to the gasket too
