id check the bac on the driver side of the engine. its adjustable with an allen wrench .its cylinder shape and connected to 2 hoses on it. try adjusting both ways and see if your idle will level out.

The adjustable ones are found on turbos "only." His is an N/A which is not adjustable. Don't mess with the allen screw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check the BAC, make sure the TPS is set properly as in 1 volt and check the variable resistor for a proper fuel mixture setting.

NO! Remove that screw and the BAC falls apart internally. Only turbo BACs have an adjustment screw and it is a simple flat head (or phillips) located within a round housing that sticks out from the valve.

In general, with these kinds of problems, the last thing a person wants to do is start messing with adjustments. The result will be an adjustment that is wildly away from were it would be, leading to other problems.

Are you sure you dojn't have any vacuum leaks?

Adjust your TPS as per the FSM/Haynes.

Check the operation of the BAC valve.

Check the operation of the cold start cam and thermowax on the back of the throttle body.

DO NOT adjust anything until you are sure the problem is solved.

Tighten it up.

The FSM contains the proper procedures to adjust the BAC on turbo cars.
